The Blue Streaks held a 45 pin lead after 2 regular games, but were outscored by Norwalk in Bakers 796-752. Leading the way for Sandusky was Senior Marissa Kieffer with scores of 200-201 for a 401 series. Logan Harris lead the Lady Truckers with a 365 series.
The Sandusky Boys defeated the Norwalk squad 2,690-2,435. The Streaks led by 153 pins after 2 games and outscored the Truckers in Baker action 919-817. Senior JP Vincent lead the Streaks with a 371 series. Senior Nathan Peters chipped in with 366 series. Jordan Nickoli lead the Truckers with a 352 series.
The Sandusky JV's defeated Norwalk's JV's in 4 on 4 action 2,075-1,879. Freshmen Dalton Schenk lead the Streaks with a 378 series.
"A pair of hard earned wins for the Sandusky squads," Sandusky head coach Bob Dickman said. "The Lady Streaks overcame a subpar third baker game to eventually overtake the Lady Truckers in last baker game. Both squads bowled very well, and a shame that one of these squads had to lose. Norwalk Girls bowled extremely well today, and challenged the Streaks to the very end. The Varsity Boys took control after one regular game, and held on for the victory. The enthusiasm showed by the spectators during today's event was spectacular. It really fueled the kids during the day."
The Sandusky squads are off until Monday, February 14, 2011, when they entertain both the Perkins Pirates and the Crimson Flashes of Willard in SBABC action at Cedar Lanes in Sandusky. Match time is 4:15pm.
