As the regular season nears an end, Lorain High finds itself in both races for the league title. The Lorain Boys team entered Monday with a 7-4 just a game back of first place. Four teams have a 8-3 record and Titans faced of those teams, Keystone at Lake Erie Lanes.

The Titans rose to the challenge defeating Keystone 2,550 to 2,450. It was a team effort as several Titans had great games. Collin Velasquez shot a 228-216 (444), Anthony Velasquez shot a 205,225 (430), Devin Wrice had 200-213 (413), Dimitri Harris shot a 222-190 (412) and Solomon Fenn had a 210.

Lorain shot well in the Bakers outscoring Keystone 497 to 378.

The Lorain girls team continued their outstanding season with 1,745 to 1,717 win over Keystone. The Titans are now 10-2 and a game behind Amherst defeated Buckeye on Monday.

Kristen Dimacchia led the Titans with 161-149 (310). Tiffany Diaz (151,148) and Hannah McCart (158-141) each rolled a 299 series. Brittany Washington 163-106 (269) and Tabatha Milam 132-124 (256) started for Lorain as well.

Amherst and Lorain will play each other in the final regular season game on Feb. 2 at the Slovak Club.
