Here are the nominees for Morning Journal softball player of the week. The winner will be revealed in Friday’s Edge.

Edison head coach Dale Dawson nominated Danielle Wilhelm. Danielle was 6-10 with 5 runs scored and 3 RBI. She stole six bases and had an on base percentage of .636. Dawson also nominated Sarah Wallace. Sarah was 5-8 with 4 runs scored and 2 RBI. She had 2 steals and a .667 obp.

Keystone head coach Jim Piazza nominated Bri Buckley. Bri was 9-11 with a double, triple and home run. She scored 6 runs and had 10 RBI.

Olmsted Falls coach Jim Smith nominated Kim Kirkpatrick. Kim was 6-11 with 6 runs scored and 2 RBI. She stole 8 bases in 8 attempts.

Also considered: Amherst sophomore Katie Hoering was 5 for 9 with 3 home runs and 5 RBI. Amherst junior Jen Sutton was 2-0 with 19 strikeouts.
