The new program hockey programs in our coverage area played on Saturday at the North Olmsted Rec Center. Avon jumped on Westlake with three first period goals. That held up until the third period when the Demons scored three third period goals to force a 3-3 tie.
Scoring for Avon were Alex Guzik, Eric Novakovic and Tyler Lance. Scoring for Westlake were Kent Axcell, Rudy Keppler and Ben Thurstone. Avon's Kory Carter had 34 saves while Westlake's Cassedy Fuller had 20 saves.
